Teki Paper Bags, Ethiopia
Teki is the world’s first paper bag company entirely led by deaf woman from Ethiopia. The company fights against plastic pollution by creating sustainable paper bags. Moreover, Teki changes the lives of young deaf women by creating meaningful jobs for them. Teki is a unique concept that combines disability inclusion with environmental action. In short ‘Fighting plastic by sign language!’.
Quadraat Global supports Teki in their different business units. From setting up a budget, developing a reporting mechanism to developing the sales strategy. As well as guiding production processes and making the company investment ready. Next to supporting their business units, Quadraat Global came on board to support Teki in their growth strategy. A proof of concept is done and the market for paper bags is available which clears the path for Teki to grow and scale. Now, Teki is more than ready to continue to fight for disability inclusion and against plastic pollution!
