The TAFF foundation is active in Ethiopia with as primary goal to help individuals in providing in their lifesupport. At this moment the foundation is dependent on gifts to fund projects. To be more independent to set up sufficient fundings they have decided to set up a local business. This organisation can contribute to the funding of the foundation.
Project Grey Pearl contains the set up of a prefab concrete factory in Ethiopia. The expectations are that the local population will increase incredibly within a short period of time. At this moment they have already a housing problem, due to the big requests in the market prices for houserent are enormeous. Finding new possibilities to create houses is of big importance.
Prefab is in the Netherlands a very common known development. But for Ethiopia it is entirely new. There are no local suppliers that can provide or produce prefab concrete walls or building parts. They have good opportunities to create concrete, only the local knowledge is missing. By combining these into our Grey Pearl businessplan we can contribute in creating qualitative good housing, but also we can provide locals employment opportunities.
Quadraat Global is involved from idea to businessplan. From retreiving investors to eventually building the factory and managing the company and sharing knowledge.
